Peter Dinklage Thinks It’s Time to End ‘Game of Thrones’ and I Agree

Peter Dinklage is ready for Game of Thrones to be over with. Me too, buddy. Me too.

Speaking to Variety, Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister in the series, said, ““It’s time. Storywise, not just for all our lives. It’s the perfect time to end it. Sometimes shows stay on a little too long, the jumping-the-shark thing.”

I’m not looking at you, Dexter. But I’m definitely looking at that garbage ass ending where Dexter became a lumberjack for no reason.

You also want to know why it’s time to end the series? Because George R. R. Martin still has not gotten off his lazy ass to write the final book. It’s a television series based on a book. If there is no conclusion to the book, the conclusion to the television series must either be dragged out or have a separate ending. The Game of Thrones people opted for the separate ending because they have to make a show about slaves.

The final season won’t air until 2019, which means we may as well skip 2018. Seriously, can we just skip this year? Dinklage said they are “taking their time” when it comes to filming the final season.

No s**t. They’ve been taking their time with this entire series. Nothing happens and then more of nothing happens until finally the dragon shows up and roasts every body. The first six seasons were a bunch of walking and talking. Then, in the seventh season, everyone discovered time travel or something because all of a sudden people were appearing thousands of miles away in a matter of minutes.

I don’t want the show to take its time. Give me more stuff like season seven. That was Game of Thrones on cocaine and I was 100 percent for it.

The final season of Game of Thrones will feature six episodes and they’ll all last five hours.
