British Racist Sends Fake Anthrax to Meghan Markle
Meghan Markle just can’t catch a break. The Suits star turned princess has been forced to give up acting to become a royal, and now, according to The Evening Standard, some jackass sent her and Prince Harry a racist letter with white powder in it, which thankfully turned out to be harmless but is still pretty fucked up. Existing palace security measures prevented the letter from getting to the couple.
The palace letter is being played down officially by police but it has put the Met on high alert before the wedding in Windsor in May.
Security for the day is under constant review, with potential threats ranging from a terror attack to that posed by obsessed individuals.
A lot of people are really mad that Markle is marrying into the royal family. Racist people, mainly. I’m sure some fussbudgets are upset because she’s a divorced American, but it’s mostly just racists. Yeah, I see you, Daily Mail, the worst thing you can say about Markle is that she’s too compassionate to people, but we know why you really don’t like her.
In a bit of good news for the royal couple, the Daily Star reported that the couple invited Barack and Michelle Obama to the wedding despite their advisers worries that it might upset President Trump. Despite the security issues and the fact that Trump might have to play the angriest golf of his life while it happens, the royal wedding does sound like a lovely affair.
Meghan and Harry are due to ride around a public route in a carriage after marrying at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on Saturday May 19.
They will pass along a route including Castle Hill, High Street, Sheet Street, Kings Road, Albert Road and Long Walk then return to the castle.
You know, Harry and Meghan seem happy together. And it should make for some interesting plots on series three of The Windsors.
That sucks. She seems lovely. Screw that guy.
Sorry to rain on your narrative, but hardly any of the sneering at Meghan Markle on this side of the Atlantic was based on ‘race’ (but of course there are always going to be a few loonies, such as the psychotic charmer who mailed her that). Most of it was actually focused on antipathy to bourgeois leftist faux compassion that passes for the real thing in showbiz circles, particularly American showbiz circles, who seem even worse than our own ghastly home grown luvvies. Champagne socialists just aren’t very well regarded once you get outside the media bubble.
