Ariel Winter Has Had Enough of UCLA for Now

Ariel Winter, 20, has decided to put the brakes on her college career. Winter says she’s taking time to focus on her acting career and have some more free time.

“I do love UCLA, but at the moment I’m taking a break from it so I can continue to pursue my career and also try to have a little bit more of a life because I’ve been so busy…That’s really it at the moment. But I think education’s really important. I love being there. I love learning. I will continue to keep learning.”

Fair enough. Filming Modern Family takes a lot of time. So does walking around in low-cut tops for the paparazzi.

She also wants to move into film after Modern Family ends next season. Also, Modern Family ends next season?? I vaguely remember that news, but wow, ok. Guess they don’t wanna keep making that easy money.

Winter said about a potential film career:

“Really anything that comes my way that speaks to me or feels rights, something, a new character I haven’t done before…I’m pretty open. I like doing different things. I like trying things, so for me, it’s really whatever happens.”

Cool, another television actress failing in the movies. She’ll probably see how tough movies are and head back to television.

Her first day at UCLA was memorable. Paparazzi followed her around and so they could snap pics of her in Daisy Dukes. That day she vented on Twitter:

Can’t lie, that sucks. She just wants to be a normal college kid, but old men with cameras keep following her around. Way better to have young UCLA kids secretly take pics of her falling asleep in class like they did with James Franco.
