You Can Stop Saying Taraji P. Henson Shaded Ryan Seacrest
In case you missed every second of the seven-hour long Oscars, this happened on the red carpet:
Many took this as Taraji P. Henson throwing shade at Ryan Seacrest.
It appears that Henson, who says, “The universe has a way of taking care of good people,” before touching Seacrest on the chin, is saying, “The universe will deal with you, you sexual monster.”
I took it as, “You’re a good person and this too shall pass.”
Henson confirmed that my line of thinking was correct, telling PEOPLE, “I did it to keep his chin up. It’s an awkward position to be in. He’s been cleared but anyone can say anything,”
The host of literally everything has been under fire recently for accusations involving sexual misconduct. Seacrest allegedly went all Donald Trump and grabbed stylist Suzie Hardy by the…well, you know. An internal investigation at E! cleared Seacrest due to “insufficient evidence to support the claims.”
Seacrest took to Twitter to express his love for the Empire actress.

Some were speculating that Seacrest would be ignored on the red carpet, but that wasn’t the case. Everyone who is anyone chatted it up with Seacrest, because if they didn’t, he would send the Kardashians after them.
Mary J. Blige stated that Seacrest is “fighting for his life right now,” which is a drastic overstatement seeing as he’s not on life support.
In reality, Seacrest is doing just fine. He’s still hosting red carpet events and American Idol is set to premiere this Sunday on ABC. The judges have changed, but Seacrest is always in.
