Playboy Apparently Still Exists, So Let’s Meet Nina Daniele, 2018 Playmate of the Year

A while back, Playboy stopped doing nude photo shoots and Hugh Hefner died, so I figured that would be the end of the storied men’s magazine. But the nudity is back and Playboy is still somehow clinging to, if not relevance, then at least existence. They’ve just revealed this year’s 2018 Playmate of the Year, the first one who won’t have to pretend to be sexually attracted to Hef while his assistants use a system of ropes and pulleys to get his dick up. Her name is Nina Daniele, and here’s what we know about her.

She Has Boobs

Perhaps the most interesting this about Daniele is that she looks good naked, and has no problem appearing as such in a national magazine. Yeah, I’m sure you all clicked on this article because you wanted to know her plans for college or her thoughts on the Gaza Strip.

She Has A Degree In Poetry

When she auditioned to be in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, she told SI she studied creative writing for four years and graduated with a degree in poetry. She did the smart thing with her writing talent and decided to make money by getting her boobs out. As a professional writer, I can assure you she made the right choice. I kind of envy her. We may look down on softcore porn stars, but it beats getting death threats because some idiot on the internet needs to defend the honor of whatever moron celebrity you made an offhanded joke about.

She Was The First Nude Model in Playboy After Their Failed No Nudity Experiment

For some reason, Playboy thought they could attract more younger readers if they stopped putting nude models in their magazine. Unfortunately for Playboy, the only thing that sets it apart from Maxim or FHM is nudity, and sales plummeted, so they brought nudity back after only 12 boobless issues. Nina Daniele was the centerfold in the issue that brought nudity back to Playboy.

She Thinks Nudity Is Empowering

Following her first appearance in Playboy, she talked to Refinery29.

“There are so many reasons why I think posing nude is powerful but first I would like to say, it’s not for everyone,” Daniele told Refinery29. “There are so many other ways to express your confidence in your skin and for me this was and is just one of them.”

“It’s a way to say ‘this is me, this is who I am bare, accept it or don’t,'” she continued.

Actually, She Finds Everything Empowering

Daniele told Playboy “I find pole dancing very liberating and empowering.” She also said “When we speak, we have to speak for all women, and I think Playboy gives us the foundation to do that.” That makes sense. But I feel like I’ve heard it before.
