Jet Li Has Started Aging Like Robin Williams in ‘Jack’

Back in the 1990s, Jet Li was poised to be one of the biggest action stars in the world, appearing in martial arts films like Once Upon a Time In China and Black Mask, eventually crossing over to Hollywood action films like Lethal Weapon 4 and Romeo Must Die. I, personally, was a huge fan of his work, especially Hero, one of the best wuxia films ever made.

But time marches on and it catches up with the best of us, even Jet Li, who appears to be in his late 90s from the looks of this photo.

Okay, Jet Li is only 55, he’s just been struggling with hyperthyroidism. His manager, Steven Chasman, gave a statement to the Washington Post.

“He has hyperthyroidism that he’s been dealing with for almost 10 years. It’s nothing life-threatening and he’s dealing with it,” Chasman told the Washington Post.

“He’s all well and good,” Chasman added, saying he has spoken with Li’s assistant.

Yeah, that’s a bad picture, alright. Who the hell took it, Dorian Gray? Seriously, this was Jet Li like, 5 months ago.

He looks like he turned into his own grandfather overnight. I never thought I’d see the day when Jet Li looked like he was in worse shape than Sammo Hung.
