‘World’s Largest Orgy’ in Las Vegas Will Be a Great Place to Get Herpes

I’m as sex-positive as the next guy, but I can’t help but think orgies are a disgusting, sweaty throwback to the 1970s that don’t really need to keep pretending are sexy or fun. Once you get above like, four people, you’ve really hit a point of diminishing returns, other people’s genitals-wise. How many people can you actually have sex with at one time? Over a certain threshold you just have a bunch of people having sex near each other, it really adds nothing to the experience.

But according to Las Vegas Weekly, neither that nor the almost-100% chance of getting herpes in a room with 1000 people fucking in it, are discouraging sex events producer Menage Life from trying to set the record for the world’s largest orgy. The world’s grossest statisticians currently claim the record belongs to Japan, the site of an orgy attended by 500 people and an uncounted number of tentacle demons and anime body pillows.

Players must purchase an appropriate Sin City 8 pass (for the orgy, couples are $200 and single women are $25) and arrive with a registered partner (no single men are allowed) and photo ID before getting down. And mutual consent will be strictly enforced by onlooking security officers “who are members of the lifestyle,” according to the website. Those making advances without permission or failing to heed the word “no” will be removed from the premises.

Participants will also receive free condoms, lubricants, towels, hand sanitizer and other sex complements, with event organizers promising a clean space with clearly marked and separate receptacles for waste and linen disposal. Menage Life will also distribute masquerade party-style masks for those requiring discretion, setting the stage for a giant, Eyes Wide Shut-like fantasia.

Like Jerry Seinfeld, I find even a single extra partner to be somewhat intimidating, a thousand people would just be insane.

Officials from the Guinness Book of World Records will not be on hand to track the record, but Valtrex reps will have a booth right outside the event, I’m sure.
