Dash Berlin has finally provided answers as to why he cancelled all of his upcoming shows. He cited health reasons but it’s a little bit more than that.
As some may not know, Dash Berlin isn’t just one person, it’s a trio. Jeffrey Sutorius is the frontman for Dash Berlin and has done the touring for the past 10 years. Sebastiaan Molijn and Eelke Kalberg produce the music.
Unbeknownst to Sutorius, Molijn, Kalberg and his agency, Vanderkleij, registered the “Dash Berlin” name in their own names cutting him out. Sutorius looked to lawyers to help but it didn’t work out. All the drama ended up not being good for his health so he cancelled his upcoming shows.
Sutorius couldn’t talk about it on social media because he’s been locked out of all his accounts. Which seems kind of petty.
This seems like something that would backfire. It’s not like they’re going to get someone to replace him. No one is going to show up for Dash Berlin when it’s some stranger staring back at you from behind the decks. It’s like if your girlfriend got a face transplant. Everything feels the same. The voice is the same. Her eyes still stare at you with the same disgust. But something… just doesn’t seem right.
