Jerry Seinfeld Thinks Racism Is Fine as Long as You’re a Comic

Jerry Seinfeld doesn’t understand why Roseanne Barr was fired for her racist tweets.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Seinfeld tried to make sense of the whole ordeal.

“I didn’t see why it was necessary to fire her,” Seinfeld said. “Why would you murder someone who’s committing suicide?”

“But I never saw someone ruin their entire career with one button push,” he added. “That was fresh.”

Did he not follow the election? Hillary Clinton ruined her entire career by hitting “send” on some emails.

ABC is moving forward with The Connors, a spin-off of the show that will feature 100 percent more John Goodman and 100 percent less Roseanne. This too, upsets Jerry.

“I think they should get another Roseanne,” he advised. “They brought Dan Conner back, he was dead and they brought him back. So, why can’t we get another Roseanne? There’s other funny women that could do that part. You need to get the comic in there. I hate to see a comic lose a job.”

I’m with him up until, “I hate to see a comic lose a job.” It’s her fault she lost her job. Who cares if she’s a comic or anything else.

Of course, Seinfeld trying to defend a fellow comic isn’t all that surprising. Dude still thinks Michael Richards did nothing wrong.
