Selma Blair Quits Tweeting and Smiling to Support James Gunn

Selma Blair has not only quit Twitter, she deleted her account. That way you know she’s super serious. In her final 280 character message, she wrote, “So long. You can find me on Instagram. #Istandwithjamesgunn”

Blair is just the latest celebrity to support James Gunn following Disney firing the director for decade-old tweets. When news of Gunn’s firing broke, Blair rushed to his defense saying in a tweet, “Marvel: RE-HIRE JAMES GUNN … Because if people are punished despite changing, then what does that teach people about owning mistakes and evolving? This man is one of the good ones.”

She continued, “I thank you for your talent, your decency and your evolution as a man. You propped me up when I was in a scary place, and guided me towards the decent and right thing to do. You have shown strength of character more than most anyone I know. You understood.”

Whoever hires Gunn next, and someone will hire him, he’s going to owe a lot of favors to actors who have supported him. If you thought Infinity War was the most ambitious crossover of all-time, just wait until Re-Hired Gunn hits theaters.

Blair has also quit smiling in support of Gunn.
