NASA Intern Tells Twitter Troll ‘Suck My Dick and Balls,’ Fired After Troll Turned Out to Be Her Boss

We all love a tale about an epic social media clapback. Some idiot you don’t know shows up in your mentions and you tell them to f**k off, it feels good. Maybe it’s one of those idiots who actually liked Jordan Peterson and you just post a YouTube video of his voice being dubbed over Kermit the Frog and they have a meltdown about it. It doesn’t matter.

Enter Naomi, who got an interneship at NASA and excitedly posted about it on Twitter. Some dude no one has ever heard of named Homer Hickam tweeted “language” at her because she had said the word “f**k” in her initial tweet, Naomi did what any one of us would do when a stranger told us to watch our language, and that’s to cuss the asshole out. Only it turns out Hickam is on the National Space Council. Anyway, Naomi got fired by NASA.

So my first reaction is “what kind of asshole searches NASA on Twitter to make sure no one is cussing,” but it occurs to me that searching Twitter to see what people are saying about NASA might actually be a part of this dude’s job.

Regardless, Homer turned out not to be the villain of the piece, as he made a now-deleted blog post on it explaining that he doesn’t have hiring and firing power at NASA, and the reason he tweeted her in the first place is he thought her initial tweet might get her in trouble. Which it did, but not with him.

She reached out to me with an unnecessary apology which I heartily accepted and returned with my own. After talking to her and looking at her resume’, I am certain she deserves a position in the aerospace industry and I’m doing all I can to secure her one that will be better than she lost.

I have also talked to the folks that had to do with her internship and made absolutely certain that there will be no black mark on her record. They have told me she may reapply.

For Naomi’s sake, let’s just hope she doesn’t end up at Space X leading the search for an alien life form that actually wants to f**k Elon Musk.
