Dakota Johnson And Chris Martin Are Definitely Breaking Up Now

Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin have been dating for less than a year. How are they not engaged yet?

Before putting a ring on it, Martin and Johnson put some ink on it. Both parties were spotted sporting matching infinity symbols with two Xs on the right side of their arms.

You can view the tattoos at Cosmo. Johnson’s is pretty light, showing a clear lack of commitment on her part. Her tattoo looks like it was drawn with an ink pen and would easily wipe off with a little spit.

As far as matching tattoos go, it’s not the worst in the world. If — when — they break up, they can easily pass off the tattoo as something else. Like, they could add an X for every failed relationship. 

Johnson and Martin aren’t the first celebrity couple to get matching tattoos and certainly won’t be the last. The most recent example is Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande. But they went engagement followed by matching tattoos. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie went marriage, matching tattoos, divorce. Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom went marriage, matching tattoos, rehab, divorce. Khloe will soon make a similar mistake with Tristan Thompson.

 Cara Delevingne has a matching tattoo with everyone she’s ever spoken to. 

There’s no right or wrong way to do matching tattoos. Except to not do them. And if you’re going to do them, make them as inconsequential as possible. In other words, tattoo something you would have done if your significant other wasn’t around to force you into getting inked.

I’m sure things will work out just fine for Martin and Johnson. Never mind the age difference — Johnson is 28, Martin is 41 — or their busy careers. These two will make it. They are infinite. With two Xs.
