Golden Globes Goes With Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg as Hosts

Just a day after the Oscars announced that Kevin Hart would be their next host, the Golden Globes have also found their 2019 hosts. Not to be outdone in the bland and unoffensive category, they’re going with Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg. Man, that is like a bowl of vanilla ice cream with some vanilla ice cream on the side. Here’s what they had to say about their new hosts, via CNN.

“Sandra and Andy are the perfect choices to host this world-class event,” Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks, co-Chairmen, NBC Entertainment, said in a joint statement. “They bring wit, charm and style to a room filled with the very best of film and television. It’s sure to be another unforgettable fun-filled night.”

Mike Mahan, Executive Producer and CEO of dick clark productions, added: “This innovative pairing sets the perfect tone for the most entertaining awards celebration of the year.”

Wit, style and charm and oh my god what happened I fell asleep there for a minute. Remember when Ricky Gervais hosted the Golden Globes and everyone was scandalized becase he gently poked fun at how insane the whole thing is? If you think about who votes for these things, it’s basically people giving each other statues.

Personally, I think one of these awards shows should get Steve Carell to host. It would really put a lampshade on how these shows are all basically just The Dundees, but for some reason everyone takes them super seriously.
