Gwyneth Paltrow Reveals Why Brad Pitt Always Copies His Girlfriends’ Looks

It’s been pretty well documented that Brad Pitt tends to change his look to match whoever he happens to be dating.

Leandra Medine Cohen wrote the original article back in 2006 and posted it to her Instagram just the other day. Gwyneth Paltrow, who was with Brad Pitt from 1994-1997, commented on the post with this potential explanation:

“Or we like to look like him, let’s face it.”

Uh huh. Okay, I can buy that explanation to some extent. I can easily believe that Gwyneth Paltrow would be the type to copy her boyfriend. Gwyneth Paltrow in her youth strikes me as the type to glom onto a boyfriend and define herself by him. I can see no other explanation for those highly unfortunate matching flippy fringes. They look like twin 2008 Kate Gosselins.

But I don’t see this as being the case with his other exes, most notably with Angelina Jolie. Please. Angelina was always effortlessly cool in her own way. Sometimes she was batshit creepy back in the day, but she did always maintain an aura of badass coolness. And I can’t imagine Angelina Jolie changing her look for anyone other than herself.

Yeah, with most of these actresses, I don’t see that their styles have fundamentally changed. The common denominator is most definitely Brad Pitt. I think that Brad never really was able to form his own identity, so he just became a chameleon. He just tried to assimilate the style of the better half of the couple.

You can’t tell me that Brad Pitt went from looking like this with Jennifer Aniston:

To looking like this with Angelina Jolie all on his own. He doesn’t strike me as having that amount of creativity or imagination.
