Kendall Jenner’s ‘Brave,’ ‘Raw Story’ Is a Paid Sponsorship

What makes someone brave? Rescuing a baby from a burning building certainly qualifies. Standing up for a stranger in the face of a group of racists is brave. Making fun of celebrities under a pen name on a comedy blog is universally accepted as the bravest thing a man can do. But is doing paid endorsements for an acne product on social media brave?

Kris Kardashian and Kendall Jenner certainly seem to think it is. It all started when Kris made this post on Twitter.

What do you think? Anxiety? Lesbian? Just look at all those hashtags. #finallyasolution makes me think Kendall Jenner might be a Nazi, though. Maybe rethink that one.

A lot of people were betting on anxiety, but you’d have lost money on that bet. It turns out that what makes Kendall so brave is that she’s a paid spokesperson for Proactiv. Seriously.

Yeah. Look at that. If you didn’t already know that the Kardashians were the most self-involved, self-important people in the world, well, a teenager getting pimples provoked the reaction “Seeing you share her most raw story in order to make a positive impact for so many people and help foster a positive dialogue is a testament to the incredible woman you’ve become.” If she had brought peace to the Middle East, that would have been a little much. She got pimples as a teenager.
