Lady Gaga Tells The Pences That They’re Sucky Christians

Lady Gaga has never been one to hang back when it comes to matters of social justice, particularly in the LGBTQ community. And you had better believe that she will stop in the middle of her show to address those issues.

We all know that Mike Pence and his family have never been shy about showing how they feel about people who identify as LGBTQ. Pence’s wife, Karen “Mother” Pence, recently took up a job at a Christian elementary school that openly forbids any LGBTQ students or faculty.

This is not particularly surprising since I can’t imagine Mother Pence being qualified to teach in any other kind of school. And as sickening as it is, private, extreme-religious schools are (unfortunately) allowed to discriminate on some level legally. But it still makes you feel so sorry for these innocent young children. You can bet that there are going to be some kids who won’t leave this school unscathed, especially with Mother Pence in charge of a class.

During her Las Vegas show, Lady Gaga not only reprimanded Donald Trump for the shutdown, but also rebuked the Pences for being generally shitty people.

“To Mike Pence, who thinks it’s acceptable that his wife work at a school that bans LGBTQ, you are wrong. You say we should not discriminate against Christianity; you are the worst representation of what it means to be a Christian. I am a Christian woman and what I do know about Christianity is that we bear no prejudice and everybody is welcome. So you can take all that disgrace Mr. Pence and you can look yourself in the mirror and you’ll find it right there.”

You can say that the Pences have every right to feel that they’re superior to everyone else and support laws and policies that will hurt others that are different from them, and they absolutely do. But others, like Lady Gaga, also have the right to call them out on their crappy behavior when they choose to act like dicks.
