The Nightmare Is Over, Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Is in Jail Now

When Jersey Shore debuted, if you told me that at least one of the cast members would end up in prison, my response would have been along the lines of “No s**t, Sherlock.” Well, that day has come, and Mike Sorrentino, also known as “The Situation,” is headed to jail for tax evasion, which would not have been my first guess. My first guess would have been drunk and disorderly or maybe solicitation.

Mike’s wife issued a statement on Twitter after her husband reported to prison to serve his 8 month sentence.

Hi Everyone,it’s Lauren. Mike would like to thank all of his fans worldwide for the unbelievable outpouring of love & support. We speak everyday & he’s doing great. He’s received thousands of letters, he won’t be able to respond to everyone but wanted to express his gratitude to each and everyone of you. Thank you from the both of us; it is truly heartwarming to have this support during this time. Lots of Love, Michael & Lauren Sorrentino

Meanwhile, Mike posted this.

This is why we need prison reform. He’s just going to be a bigger douchebag when he gets out of prison. In another country, he could be turned into a productive member of society.

Also, no one told either of them that “BDS” refers to “Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions,” the movement to encourage the use of financial pressure to force the Israeli government to change its West Bank policies.

Yeah, maybe find a new nickname, “Big Daddy Sitch.” That one is definitely going to get you in trouble.
