Cardi B Will School You, Especially in Social Studies

Cardi B has been more in the political sphere lately, coming out with more civic statements, including a verbal takedown of conservative talking head Tomi Lahren.

Now, Cardi B is a rapper and an entertainer, so it’s easy for many to dismiss her, tell her to stick to performing and keep her mouth shut. But not so fast. Just because a celebrity is, well, a celebrity, you might at least try to consider the fact that some of them may be quite knowledgeable about the world they live in. Maybe even a little more than the average person.

As it turns out, Cardi is actually quite the history and government buff and has been since high school. How do we know this? From Cardi’s own AP History teacher, Joan Hill, who took to Twitter to post this message:

“For those of you on my feed who are trashing Cardi B for representing a political voice a) she probably scored higher than you on the US History regents exam and was in my AP govt class b) you’re not nearly as busy as her, and what have you done to advance political discourse in this country? c) she has a national platform and is using it to speak about things that are important…. Why can’t we respect that? d) STFU and take a seat.”

Yes, Cardi did quite well in school, particularly in social studies. Taking an AP class and the regents exam is nothing to sniff at. She probably did much better in school than the people who are currently telling her to shut up.

Cardi B visited her high school last year to speak to students and had high praise for her former teacher:

“I know that she’s strict, but every single day until this day of my life, Ms. Hill was always in my head.”

There you have it, folks. The lesson here, is don’t judge someone by their Bodak Yellow album cover. And if Cardi B says that she “will dog walk you,” then she probably will. Both physically and intellectually.
