Ariana Grande, America’s angel (copyright pending by yours truly), broke down in concert once she got to the part in “thank u, next” that name checks Mac Miller. Miller, as you know, died from a drug overdose last September.
Ariana got all choked up singing Thank U, Next in Mac’s hometown, but with help from the crowd she got through it and brought the show to an end. One of the craziest and most amazing nights of my life, I’ll never forget it, thank you @ArianaGrande, you’ll never stop inspiring us! pic.twitter.com/om0wqEV37Z

Her “Sweetener World” Tour reached Miller’s hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania yesterday. Prior to the show, the pre-concert music blasted a Mac Miller playlist throughout the arena.
She’s had it rough. First Manchester, then Mac Miller. Then having to date Pete Davidson.
Even before that song, Grande was choking up. During “Raindrops (An Angel Cried),” she had a hard time getting through the very, very short song.
That song, some have speculated, was about Miller. The lyrics are so vague, though, it could be about anyone.
When raindrops fell, down from the sky / The day you left me, an angel cried / Oh, she cried, an angel cried / She cried
During “thank u, next” when she broke down, the audience sang along for her. She should work this into her act. Every time she gets to the Mac Miller part, she starts crying, then the audience sings along.
Every fan wants to feel like they were there for something special, and this will be it. It’ll go well with the $30 t-shirts and tote bags.
