You know, I never thought that being a model was a particularly difficult job. It’s mostly being able to stand still for long periods of time, so the idea print model will be a sloth. But Shannon Ihrke told Inside Edition that being a model is as difficult as being a Marine, which is what she did before modeling.
Ihrke said things worked drastically differently in the modeling world, and it took her a couple of reality checks to transition into civilian life.
“In the Marine Corps, if someone tells you ‘no,’ you can prove them wrong,’” she said. “In the modeling world, if someone tells you ‘no,’ there’s nothing you can do. You’re not it.’”
Ihrke said she also had a hard time with her temper, noting that it would be perfectly acceptable to scream at someone who cut her in line while in the Marines, but as a civilian, “I can’t do that, I have to just chill.”

For some reason Ihrke’s Instagram, which has 160k followers, is set to private now with no explanation, which I find weird for a model. But she was a Marine, I’m ure she can handle whatever it is that life throws at her.
Should’ve stayed in the marines. A model she is not.
Better than anything you will ever get douchebag.
As any Marine will tell you, she is not a former Marine. Once a Marine, always a Marine! She is currently an inactive Marine and if the time arises, her inner Marine will surface with all of the fury that is deep inside of each Marine.
