A Marketing Company Shamed a Hopeful Intern for Wearing a Bikini

24-year-old Emily Clow was looking forward to applying to Austin-based marketing firm Kickass Masterminds because “it was founded by women.” That fact was probably was something she revered. What she didn’t realize was that the women working there are catty bitches who thought it’d be a great idea to publicly shame Clow by not only rejecting her, but grabbing a photo of her in a bikini from her social media and posting it on their IG story as an example of what not to do when applying for a job.

The bikini screenshot was tagged with a PSA that read, “Do not share your social media with a potential employer if this is the kind of content on it. I am looking for a potential marketer–not a bikini model. Go on with your bad self and do whatever in private. But this is not doing you any favors in finding a professional job.”

It’s almost 2020. You’d think a marketing company would know better than to pull some inane holier-than-thou s**t like this because, as you may have guessed, the internet came down on Kickass Masterminds like a ton of bricks. Much like any normal person, most people could not wrap their minds around why a photo of someone in a bikini disqualifies them from a job. It’s not like Emily was tying up a cat and burning it alive with a blowtorch. She was in a pool wearing what most women do in a pool. Even their staff does it.

Realizing they fucked up, Kickass Mastermind decided to ghost the internet. All their social accounts and even their website have gone dark. On the flipside, if this was a marketing stunt, it worked. Now everyone will know their name… so they can put them on a blacklist.

Their Apple Podcast page is still available, however. It’s now at a 2.6/5 rating.
