Taylor Swift Beat Scooter Braun But She’s Still Planning to Make AMAs About Attacking Him

Taylor Swift is the biggest name in music (gonna get an angry letter from Kanye West for that, I’m sure) and she uses that position to make sure everyone knows not to mess with her. Swift isn’t exactly good at letting things go, and at 29 years old she still has feuds stretching back over a decade.

So she’s not just going to walk away from her beef with Braun over a little thing like having got almost everything she wanted.

I’ve talked about Swift’s animus towards the record executive, but I haven’t talked about Braun and who he is. Let’s see what Wikipedia has to say about this monster who has been tormenting America’s Sweetheart.

Braun remains involved in various charities including the Braun Family Foundation. He also assists with his brother Adam’s charity Pens of Promise. Billboard reported that as of 2017 Scooter Braun—along with clients and his companies—have granted more wishes for the Make-A-Wish Foundation than any other organization in the history of the foundation. Scooter Braun was honored with the Humanitarian Award at the 2016 Billboard Touring Awards for his philanthropic support of Pencils of Promise, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and F**k Cancer.

In 2017, Billboard magazine called Scooter Braun the music industry’s “first-responder” when he organized and produced the One Love Manchester benefit concert and Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief telethon within months of one another. In March 2018, George Clooney, Braun and his team organized March for Our Lives, a student-led demonstration for stricter gun laws that took place in Washington, DC. Vox reported that the march was the largest in the capitol’s history since the Vietnam War.

Wow, what a cunt, no wonder why Swift hates him. She hates him so much, in fact, that Page Six is reporting that Swift is planning on turning the American Music Awards into the F**k Scooter Braun Awards.

One music insider tells Page Six, “Taylor will turn her AMA performance into a huge moment, and a powerful message. We are expecting to see artists such as Selena join her on stage as part of a fierce show of female artistic strength and empowerment.

“Then, when accepting her award, Taylor will likely make a statement about artists being able to own their masters, the music they created, and how she feels she has been treated by Scooter and Scott [Borchetta, the founder of Swift’s former label Big Machine].

“Her friends are all going to be pushing her message on the red carpet. Taylor’s going to play dirty with elegance and grace.”

It is kind of weird that record labels and not recording artists own the masters for songs, but does anyone believe that Swift is striking a blow for feminism here and not just being petty?

Braun is one of the most beloved producers in music and his sin here was buying a record label when Swift didn’t want him to. And for that Swift’s fans have been sending him death threats.
