Pete Davidson’s Stand-Up is So Terrible He Made People Sign an NDA

No matter how long I live, the one mystery I will never solve is why Pete Davidson is a celebrity. People always say that about the Kardashians, but at least they’re hot, Pete Davidson looks like an old man, and not in a Sean Connery way. He looks like he was the guy who played Mr. Ed.

And it’s not his comedy, because he forced audience members to sign an NDA to get into his stand-up show with a million dollar penalty for breaking it.

Consequence of Sound had details on the NDA, including that it basically bars attendees from even giving an opinion on the performance.

According to those documents, signees “shall not give any interviews, offer any opinions or critiques, or otherwise participate by any means or in any form whatsoever (including but not limited to blogs, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, or any other social networking or other websites whether now existing or hereafter created) in the disclosure of any Confidential information…”

I’ve seen Pete Davidson on SNL and I’ve seen some of his stand-up on TV and I totally understand why he’s been asking audiences to sign an NDA. I would rather watch the guy with the racist puppets do Jeff Foxworthy’s act than spend a minute watching Davidson perform.

The CoS article also says Davidson is co-headlining two shows with John Mulaney, someone who is actually funny. I don’t know how that happens. I’m guessing he found a golden ticket in a candy bar.
