Last night I was browsing YouTube to see some clips of Beavis and Butt-Head that weren’t on the DVDs and Blu-Rays. You know, stuff like the music videos they used to watch and the old episodes where they’re total assholes instead of somewhat lovable losers.
I had pictures of Juliana Hatfield in my locker in high school. PJ Harvey, too. I can relate to being 15 and being angry about how hot Juliana Hatfield is.
But I noticed something when I was watching these videos last night that I had never seen before.
This is what Butt-Head looks like.
Yeah, the art there is certainly something.
But stay with me here, because this is Jim Parsons, the antagonist from The Big Bang Theory.
That is fucking uncanny. It’s like they’re twins. If I didn’t know better, and I don’t, I’d think that Butt-Head grew up to actually be Jim Parsons.
It’s not even just the face, there’s also the hair, the forehead and the mouth, open just a bit, revealing only the top teeth. I really don’t understand how this was it the first story to run when they did the first pilot for this show. “Roseanne’s Johnny Galecki And Butt-Head Starring Sitcom Gets Retooled Pilot.”
Really, I think this might be my legacy. If people see Jim Parsons on the street and say “Hey, Butt-Head!” because of me, I will have lived a full and complete life.
