Scott Baio and Wanda Sykes Twitter Fight Had Everyone Watching, But Who Was Right?

I love a good celebrity twitter fight, and nothing gets celebrities on Twitter fighting like politics. So the last time Joe Biden said something dumb and racist, provided he doesn’t do it again before this article gets published, it lead to a lot of great moments.

Conservative celebrities were very ready to pounce on this one, because of course they were, and Scott Baio wanted to get in on that because he’ll do anything to get his name out there since Arrested Development went to hell.

Baio tweeted this a week ago but no one noticed until Wanda Sykes replied. Which is really sad, if you think about it, it’s pretty hard to be less relevant than Wanda Sykes and still qualify as a celebrity.

This raises the question of who is right, though. Obviously most people are going to base that on who they like more, Biden or Trump, but I can’t do that because I hate both of those assholes.

So just looking at them both, I have to go with Chachi. This is not exactly Joe Biden’s first racist faux pas. You might remember he dropped out of his 2008 run for President, when he still knew what day it is, for saying Barack Obama was “the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.” If this was the only thing Biden had ever done that could be considered racist it would be one thing but the man supported segregated schools in the late 1970s gets visibly angry whenever anyone suggests he may not be as beloved by black voters as he thinks he is.

I mean, you’re certainly allowed to pick and choose what you’re offended by based on how it impacts your agenda but it makes you a hypocrite and the fact Scott Baio has been largely irrelevant since Charles in Charge ended might score you some rhetorical points but it doesn’t make you any less of a hypocrite. That said, I’m sure if Donald Trump said the n-word in the Rose Garden Scott Baio would say Barack Obama was the real racist, but still, no partial credit here.
