Pro-Tip: if you want to wrongly convicted, pick a name that isn’t “C-Murder.” Even if you’re the world’s biggest crow enthusiast that is a name that is just begging to be locked up for a crime you didn’t commit.
Which is exactly what to C-Murder, the brother of Master P, who was sentenced to life in prison nearly 20 years ago for murder. See, I don’t think this would have happened to Corey the Innocent Guy or C-Kitten Hugger. Those are the kinds of nicknames you want when you’re accused of murder.
In the past couple of years, witnesses in the case have recanted their testimony and claimed they were pressured into giving testimony. The dude got railroaded here.
Luckily for him, Kim Kardashian is on the case. It’s weird to say that sentence and mean it unironically, but Kim is following in her father’s footsteps and has been working with The Innocence Project to get the convictions of innocent people overturned. She’s mostly done this by using her superpower of being famous to get people in power to listen to her.
C-Murder is obviously happy to have her on his side.
All joking aside, The Innocence Project does good work and Kim using her celebrity to get innocent people out of jail is one of the best things she could do with it. The foundational principle of justice is it’s better for 100 guilty men to walk free than for one innocent man to be imprisoned, and they’re protecting that ideal.
