Offset Detained by Police, Not Arrested Over Gun Incident

I need a break from trying to figure out what is going on with Offset and Cardi B. I feel like the answer to that question changes on a daily if not hourly basis.

Luckily for us, Offset has a life outside of his much, much more famous partner. Unluckily for him, the reason we’re talking about it is because he had a run-in with the police.

Offset was detained because a passenger in his car, Marcelo Almanzar, allegedly pointed a gun at someone. Almanzar is apparently related to Cardi B in some way because that’s her real last name. KTLA reports that Offset was not arrested, but Almanzar was.

The video initially posted by Offset shows the rapper refuse to remove his hands from a steering wheel when at least three officers approach his vehicle. They ask him to take his hands off the wheel but he refuses, saying he can see that they have guns out. Eventually, they open his door and appear to be forcing him out of the vehicle just before the video ends.

During a 56-second clip of the encounter, a female officers says to Offset: “We were told that you guys were waving guns at people.”

“You just watched somebody beat my car up with a flag. What are you talking about?” the rapper responded.

Would you like to skip right to the part about how this is bullshit?

This incident happened on Saturday night and on Sunday, TMZ reported a similar story of a Trump supporter pointing a gun at people who had thrown water or something at him.
