Gal Gadot Apparently Also Filed a Complaint About Joss Whedon

There was a time when Joss Whedon could do no wrong, especially in geek circles. People are still furious about the way Fox handled Firefly, a show that honestly was great and could have had a long and storied run, and we’re seeing how a similar show handled properly can achieve massive success with The Mandalorian right now.

All that ended right around the time Avengers: Age of Ultron hit theaters. It wasn’t a terrible movie but it wasn’t anywhere near as good as Avengers or Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It showed that both Marvel and Whedon were capable of making a film that just wasn’t that good.

Whedon seemed to let being geek royalty go to his head, because he came onto his next project, finishing Zack Snyder’s Justice League, with a massive ego and an attitude of “aren’t you all glad I’m here to fix this massive pile of s**t you’ve poured your blood, sweat and tears into?

Of course, we know Ray Fisher complained about Joss Whedon, Warner investigated and announced they’d taken “remedial action” against Whedon.

Ray Fisher wasn’t the only person to complain about Whedon, though, as Gal Gadot told The LA Times she also made a complaint about Whedon to Warner.

I wasn’t there with the guys when they shot with Joss Whedon — I had my own experience with [him], which wasn’t the best one, but I took care of it there and when it happened. I took it to the higher-ups and they took care of it. But I’m happy for Ray to go up and say his truth.

The Snyder Cut of Justice League, which will be a huge improvement over Whedon’s version (because how could it not be?), is coming to HBO Max, apparently in March. Snyder let the March date slip when he told a fan he hopes he can wipe Whedon’s version of the film out of existence with his director’s cut.
