Kevin From ‘The Office’ CLEANED UP On Cameo This Year

People love The Office. Wait, let me rephrase that. A lot of people watch The Office because it’s on Netflix and Scrubs, 30 Rock, How I Met Your Mother, Parks and Recreation and Modern Family aren’t, so be ready for people to stop talking about The Office and start talking about Community and New Girl come New Year.

While people are still obsessed with The Office, though, one former star has been cleaning up. Brian Baumgartner, who played Kevin, has made over a million dollars this year on Cameo, which is sort of like Fiverr but for famous people. People reported that Cameo’s co-founder revealed the news while being interviewed about the platform.

“The person that did the most in revenue this year is Brian Baumgartner who is Kevin from The Office,” Galanis told Swisher. “He’ll do over $1 million this year in bookings.”

“He really takes a lot of pride in his craftsmanship of the videos,” the tech entrepreneur said. “And I do think the quality of the Cameo is something that is really important to people. And he just is somebody that really takes it seriously and does a great job.”

I’m glad he’s out there being able to capitalize on his success, sort of similar to the way Leslie David Baker is trying to make a spin-off about his character Stanley.

As I mentioned, The Office is leaving Netflix for Peacock at the end of the year, and I think Baumgartner’s income is going to take a hit because of that. People just aren’t going to be talking about it and thinking about it as much. No one subscribes to Peacock, no one is going to subscribe to Peacock, you may as well put The Office on Quibi. The Office was a great show and people do genuinely love it, but the main reason people have been so into it lately is because it’s on Netflix and everyone has Netflix.

I guess what I’m saying is that guy who played Winston on New Girl is about to make a killing on Cameo if he doesn’t book any new acting gigs.
