Armie Hammer Copped to Owning That Secret Private Instagram Account

It’s amazing how quickly the story around Armie Hammer went from “This seems really fake” to “so much of this story appears to be real.”

If you haven’t been following, someone who claimed to be in a relationship with Hammer released their alleged DMs, which showed Hammer to be very interested in master/slave BDSM relationships and telling her he wanted to eat her. Not in a fun “come and sit on my face” way, but in an “I want you to be food and give me sustenance” kind of way.

Armie Hammer has now confirmed that the secret Instagram everyone thought was his is actually his in the strangest way possible.

You see, in one post on his private account, Hammer referred to a woman he appeared to be having a sexual relationship with as “Miss Cayman” and the Miss Cayman Islands beauty pageant took offense at that.

Seriously.

And Hammer actually apologized for it.

Hammer issued this statement to Cayman Compass, a local news organization from the Cayman Islands.

“I would like to clarify that the person in my video, which was stolen from my private Instagram, is not Miss Cayman,” said Hammer in an audio message to the Cayman Compass. “I am genuinely sorry for any confusion my foolish attempt at humour may have caused.”

“My deep sympathies to Miss Cayman, who I don’t know, and to the entire organization as I had no intentions of implying she was actually Miss Cayman,” he said.

Hammer may have been forced to issue this apology because apparently, the Miss Cayman Committee went to the police about Hammer’s joking use of their trademark. They had issued their own statement saying “The Committee is very disturbed by the video and would like to confirm that the woman is not the reigning Miss Cayman Islands and has no affiliation to the Miss Cayman Islands Universe pageant.” No one thought that she was, bro.
