Jake Paul’s fights are going to be on Showtime from now on, TMZ Sports reports.
Jake Paul is following in the footsteps of boxing legends like Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao … he just signed a multi-fight deal with Showtime Sports.
Both Jake and the network have confirmed the deal — which also means Paul’s run with Triller is over for now.
I mean, now at least it will be cheaper to watch Jake Paul knock out 50-year-old jobbers.
Jake kind of reminds me of Uwe Boll, the director who wanted to box everyone who gave his terrible movies bad reviews. Boll challenged tiny Attack of the Show host Kevin Pereira to a boxing match but noped right the f**k out when humorist Seanbaby wanted to fight in Pereira’s place and he found out Seanbaby is a trained fighter.
Paul — who’s now 3-0 as a pro — was the main event for the Triller Fight Club PPV event on April 17, when he knocked out Askren in the 1st round.
Sorry, TMZ Sports, Jake Paul is actually 0-0 as a professional boxer because he’s only fought in exhibition matches. It’s sort of like a pre-season NFL game where Tom Brady takes three snaps and then lets his backup QB get some reps in with the offensive linemen, only Jake wouldn’t box Blane Gabbert because he’s only 31.
Showtime is reportedly looking to line up Paul’s next fight, so they’ll be knocking on the door of Gayle Sayer’s Home for Retired and Infirm Athletes to sign George Blanda.
