What’s With All These Skinny Celebrities Telling Us How They Finally Accept Their Size 4 Bodies?

So great that skinny Hollywood celebrities are accepting their already skinny bodies, as if it was some giant mental hurdle to overcome.

For instance, Olivia Munn on Instagram recently posted how she accepts her post-pregnancy body.

My body hasn’t snapped back, but it made this little guy so I only have love for it

Her Instagram post was herself lying next to her baby son Malcolm and another photo of her holding him. And her body looks like it hasn’t changed all. Like bruh, don’t even talk to me as if you’re a little fatty.

Carrie Ann Inaba commented on Munn’s Instagram “You are perfect the way you are.” Great, 120 pound Inaba complimenting another skinny person about body acceptance.

Last month, Munn Instagrammed a pic of herself eating fried chicken and commented “still wearing their maternity clothes because you’ve realized that the snap back is bullshit and so unreal, and feel insecure as they scroll through Insta today realizing they don’t have the energy, creativity or brain power to post a beautiful pic of motherhood.” And she still looks like a healthy, skinny person to me.

Of course, we get that some post-pregnancy celebrity bodies never return to pre-pregnancy form.

Your postpartum belly won’t instantly go back to how it was before you were pregnant – it’s a process that can take months or even years, while some bellies may take on a different shape permanently.

Other women talk about low sex drive post-partum and not feeling like their new bodies are theirs anymore.

But, when Halsey comes out last October and says:

I am posting this because no matter what I do people are going to talk about my body. It is confusing symptom of being in the public eye so rather than complain I am going to give you something real to talk about! I did SNL two nights ago and a lot of people were quick to say how good I looked. That was a weird feeling. My body has felt like a stranger’s for a long time.

I do not want to feed the Illusion that you’re meant to feel and look “great” immediately postpartum…I will never have my “pre baby body back” no matter how it changes physically because I have now had a baby! And that has altered me forever; emotionally, spiritually, and physically. That change is permanent. And I don’t want to go back!

She posted pics of her post-partum body.

Turns out Halsey couldn’t accept her body. “That change is permanent”? No. “I don’t want to go back?” No.

The pregnancy before and after photos are much different. Look at her. Here’s Halsey now. The best fitness and dieting money can buy.

Guess body acceptance didn’t last long for Halsey.

Or Gigi Hadid. Back in February 2018, she tweeted that her body which was “too big for the industry” resulted from Hashimoto’s disease.

Basically, the disease is an overactive immune system which as Hadid tweeted, caused water retention and a bigger body. Getting medication made her body shrink and people still complained she said.

Later that year, she told Blake Lively in a Harper’s Bazaar interview:

If I could choose, I would have my ass back and I would have the tits I had a few years ago. But, honestly, we can’t look back with regret. I loved my body then, and I love my body now. Whoever is reading this, I want you to realize that three years from now you will look back at a picture from this time period and be like: “Wow, I was so hot. Why did I feel so bad about myself because of some stupid thing someone said?”

Ok fair, but her size went up what, 1-2 sizes up or down during the whole thing? And she’s still what size? You’re definitely not the average 14 sized American woman.

Please celebs, it’s progress that you use your platforms to preach body acceptance. No one’s ever shunned you from society because of your celebrity bodies. You ain’t fat. You’ve always had clothes that fit. You’ve never had kids laugh at you behind your back or had issues taking up two seats on airplanes or at the movie theater.

If you want to preach body acceptance, eat tubs of KFC, balloon up to 250 permanently and then tell us to accept you for you.
