Will Smith’s Comeback Starts With ‘I Am Legend 2′

77 days and time served. That’s how much Will Smith gets for slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars. Word is out that Smith is connected to the I Am Legend sequel. The original centered on a plague that turns humans into zombies. Isn’t that what social media is? Anyway.

The Sun says Akiva Goldsman, who wrote the original, still has Smith’s character in place.

Insiders say that Oscar-winner Akiva Goldsman, who adapted Richard Matheson’s 1954 novel for the original 2007 movie, is including Smith’s character in the follow-up.

The script is being written mentioning his character and as of yet, Will remains attached to the project…The concept is still to be signed off by Warner Brothers, but there has been no indication that Will is off the project. Obviously he is the producer of the film and his production company is in charge while the development continues.

The original I Am Legend made $600m. No Hollywood studio’s gonna give up that much money because one of their stars slapped someone. It’s not like he used the N-word. You get banned for life if you do that. Hello Michael Richards, anyone seen him lately?

In early May 2022, ET reported Smith “has been going to therapy after the Oscars incident.” In other words, Smith is at home in his multi-million dollar mansion, binge watching reality shows on Netflix, waiting for people to forget.

Rock, meanwhile, has setup a co-headlining show in London with Dave Chappelle. The amazing bill takes places in September at the O2 Arena.

Good luck with therapy Will. You could save a ton of therapy bills if you just cut Jada Pinkett our of your life.
