LeBron James Wouldn’t Come Back to America If He Was Brittney Griner
LeBron James, more controversy incoming. On his podcast “The Shop: Uninterrupted,” James says if he was captured American citizen and WNBA player Brittney Griner, he may not even want to come back to America.
Griner’s been held by Russia since mid-February for carrying VAPE CARTRIDGES and cannabis oil in her luggage. Now, she’s a pawn in U.S-Russia engagement. It’s taking the U.S. a long time to get her freed which led to James’ recent comments.
“Now, how can she feel like America has her back? I would be feeling like, ‘Do I even want to go back to America?'”
The inference is y’all had me in Russian jail since February, what’s up with that? I am now taking my talents to South Russia!
James is used to controversy. This will be just another moment on the timeline. He tweeted and then deleted a caption “YOU’RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY” next to the police officer who shot 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant.
During the pandemic, he posted a meme showing three Spidermen pointing at each other. One Spiderman had the caption “covid,” another had “cold,” and the third one labeled”flu.” He explained it as trying to figure out Covid out, how bad it was, but ultimately said he had no response to what he posted.

He’s also spoken up about Trayvon Martin, the 17-year-old Floridian murdered by George Zimmerman in 2012.
Of course, what you won’t hear him say is anything about controversial about China. When Daryl Morey, ex-GM of the Houston Rockets tweeted support for Hong Kong (“Fight for Freedom, Stand with Hong Kong”), James sensed those China purse strings closing up and said nah. “I believe he wasn’t educated on the situation at hand.” Haha, LeBron. Here for social justice unless it affects his wallet.
Meanwhile, Griner’s a part of trade talks with Russia. Russia may suggest Griner for Viktor Bout who’s nicknamed “Merchant of Death.” Bout’s serving 25 years for arms trafficking. Griner put VAPE CARTRIDGES in her bag.
Does this mean you can smuggle war weapons in your bag out of Russia, but not cannabis oil?
