Metallica Milking ‘Stranger Things’ Song For All Its Worth

Strange Things spoilers ahead, so stop if you haven’t seen the newest season yet. But, Metallica released a duet of “Master of Puppets,” playing along with the penultimate scene featuring Eddie Munson (played by Joseph Quinn) battling Vecna’s minions. In the scene, Munson stands alone on a rooftop playing guitar to the song. Max (played by Sadie Sink) attempts to overcome past mental obstacles as they’re replayed in her head.

Metallica put up their duet on TikTok.

Stranger Things pushed Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” to #1. They’ve resurrected Metallica’s 1986 song and pushed it all the way to #15 in Spotify’s Top 50 US charts. So all you old bands and musicians, that’s how you crossover.

While Metallica’s enjoying new success with an old song, Quinn’s stuck in the middle of a Doja Cat, 26, and Noah Schnapp, 17, argument.

Schnapp leaked a private DM between he and Doja, where Doja thirsted after Quinn, 29, and wanted to know how to DM him. Doja called out Schnapp for the leak. She called him a “weasel” and a “snake” to be precise.

How’s it feel to be Schnapp, 17, on the #1 streaming show on Neftlix, but also being called a weasel and snake?
