Travis Barker Had His Tube Broke

Travis Barker finally speaks. He tweeted how he landed in the hospital and how he’s feeling now.

Barker, 46, said “I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great. But After dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since.” In another tweet, he added “During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life-threatening pancreatitis.”

So a non-specialist messed up? That’s the inference by “usually handled by specialists.”

Earlier reports said it was a colonoscopy. Here Barker says it was an endoscopy. The only difference between the two, which is having an endoscope in your body, is where that endoscope enters. Colonoscopy goes through the butt, endoscopy goes through your mouth and throat.

The polyp removal could’ve been from his stomach or gastrointestinal tract. Whatever the case, Barker is doing better now. He wrote: “I am so very very grateful that with intensive treatment I am currently much better.”

Next question: will he sue and for how much.
