Reports of Deal or No Deal host, Howie Mandel, having a heart attack were greatly exaggerated, says Howie’s rep. Howie was simply hospitalized for an irregular heartbeat.
Currently in the hospital, Mandel is expected to be released on Tuesday to go back to work. The 53-year-old was shooting his new show Howie Do It when doctors found out.
It’s somewhat known that Howie Mandel has a fear of germs. You’ll never see him shake hands on Deal or No Deal, although he has no problem hugging and touching. So that’s probably what someone did to him to make his heart skip a beat. That or punched him right in the chest. They probably misunderstood Howie when he asked for a “pound.”
