Alec Baldwin Punched a Photog in the Face

On his way to get a marriage license this Tuesday morning, Alec Baldwin punched a New York Daily News photographer in the chin for taking his picture outside the city Marriage License Bureau. Marriage licenses are serious business it seems.

Marcus Santos was standing with two other photographers when Alec Baldwin started coming at them angrily. “He said, ‘Step back, step back.’ I said, ‘We’re moving back.’” Baldwin grabbed a second News photog, Jefferson Siegel, while Santos told him to back off.

“I said, ‘Don’t touch him,’” the 42-year-old Santos said. “I knew he was going to attack me. I stepped back, and he kept coming. He comes after me, starts shoving and punching me — one time, right in the chin. And then he started shoving me, and pushing me. Then he goes the other way.”

Goran Veljic, a freelancer who takes photos outside the office every day, said, “He was like crazy, you know? There was an eruption of mad. … You’re going to get a marriage license, you should be happy. What happened with this guy?”

Baldwin later went on Twitter to give his own version of the events, writing, “A ‘photographer’ almost hit me in the face with his camera this morning. #allpaparazzishouldbewaterboarded”

Alec must not have been able to finish his sentence what with Twitter’s 140 character limit. He probably meant, “A ‘photographer’ almost hit me in the face with his camera this morning… while I was running at him to punch him in the face. #allpaparazzishouldbewaterboarded #feelsgoodman”
