‘The X-Files’ Possible Return to Fox

“I want to believe”. The slogan from The X-Files TV show likely also sums up the legion of fans’ giddiness at news of the show’s possible return. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson played Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, two FBI agents who investigated the supernatural. Every episode, the duo were on the verge of uncovering a massive coverup, but were always thwarted by outside powers. Deadline reports on the show’s return:

Fox TV Group chairman Gary Newman today confirmed chatter that the network is in talks for a new installment of Chris Carter’s cult supernatural drama, which starred David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. Newman went on to say he was “hopeful” about the outcome.

The show ran from 1993 to 2002 and was truly that time period’s must-see TV. The world has changed a lot since the show aired. Example 1: We have internet now. Mulder and Scully might end up watching funny cat videos in each episode now.

No originality anymore in Hollywood. Now they want to remake the X-Files so we can have a new alien show that doesn’t have any aliens.
