Self-Proclaimed ‘Not Racist’ Teacher Promotes Segregation

Sometimes headlines are flashy, in this case Texas Elementary teacher, Karen Fitzgibbons, literally said “I’m almost to the point of wanting them all segregated on one side of town so they can hurt each other and leave the innocent people alone. Maybe the 50s and 60s were really on to something,” making this headline honestly too mundane. Ah, the good ol’ days of separate but equal, but really, like not totally equal ya know, because like, well…were you awake in history class?

We live in an age where proudly proclaiming you aren’t racist just means you’re about to drop some real racist bullshit. In this case, Fitzgibbons really helped us out by eye-catchingly ending her rant with #imnotracist, a hashtag seemingly and unsurprising reserved for racist thoughts and commentary.

This makes me ANGRY! This officer should not have had to resign. I’m going to just go ahead and say it… the blacks are the ones causing the problems and this “racial tension.” I guess that’s what happens when you flunk out of school and have no education. I’m sure their parents are just as guilty for not knowing what their kids were doing, or knew it and didn’t care. I’m almost to the point of wanting them all segregated on one side of town so they can hurt each other and leave the innocent people alone. Maybe the 50s and 60s were really on to something. now, let the bashing of my true and honest opinion begin… GO! #imnotracist #imsickofthemcausingtrouble #itwasagatedcommunity

Some other things to be noted about KKKaren’s statement

  1. The use of “ANGRY” like she hulked out for one word only
  2. “I guess that’s what happens when you flunk out of school and have no education.” Somehow this magically became associated with race? Why am I analyzing this? Clearly after stating “I’m just going to go ahead and say it…” nothing positive is going to dribble out of a person’s mouth.
  3. You’re right Karen, Jim Crow laws were really the bee’s knees.
  4. “#itwasagatedcommunity” are you implying segration is already happening and not working to your standards? Slow down, crazy. Slow down.
  5. Using “them” to describe a group of people is just an English language dark zone that you should probably just dip out of at all times. There is really nothing good that can come out of referring to people as “them.”

Just as she insinuated, people have been bashing her “true and honest opinion” enough that she noticed her post was perhaps crossing a line and took it down. The school district has allegedly relieved her of her duties though she was still teaching Wednesday.

Lesson of the day, if you’re going to tap into the facetious lexicon “I’m not racist but” just don’t. Hold back with all your might. Go do eat a sandwich or something because you are about to say the most racist thing in your life.

When you feel this way in your heart, it’s just a matter of time before it comes to the surface.
