Simon Monjack spoke to Access Hollywood about Brittany Murphy’s death and from all the condolences that people sent, Simon was particularly moved by the one from Ashton Kutcher. The one he posted on Twitter. In 140 characters or less. Ashton wrote, “2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany’s family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon. see you on the other side kid.” Simon “couldn’t have said it better.”
Monjack said Brittany was not suffering from flu-like symptoms as previously reported and that she actually had laryngitis. “She had been tired at the end of the year. She had made a couple movies.”
Monjack also didn’t understand why people thought he was a bad influence on Brittany. He said they both found love. I’m assuming at that point he looked down at his briefcase of blackmail money and grinned.
Meanwhile, TMZ says Brittany’s autopsy was normal, but a toxicology report is still pending. Sources also tell TMZ that Brittany was moved to the shower by her mother, Sharon, to try and revive her. That’s where she threw up. Because being shoved in water while you’re unconscious will surely wake you up. I mean, you don’t want to drown, right? Police also found a ton of prescription drugs made out to Brittany, Simon and Sharon. Monjack claims Brittany was complaining about severe abdominal pains and shortness of breath 7-10 days before her death and that he didn’t think too much of it because she suffered from bad menstrual cramps.
