People have been waiting years for this and now it’s finally happening. Not only is there an Evil Dead reboot produced by Sam Raimi which opened to positive reviews at SXSW but there’s going to be an Evil Dead 4 co-written by Raimi. If the return of Bruce Campbell wasn’t enough, Evil Dead 4 will actually be Army of Darkness 2. *Lets out girlish squeal*
[Rob] Tapert has made it clear that the two series will not interfere with each other, as the reboot contains entirely new characters. Bruce Campbell, who will reprise his role of Ash in “Army of Darkness 2,” added that the two franchises would be able to, “co-exist beautifully”. IFC
Army of Darkness was my favorite of the series but can Ash spouting cheesy one-liners work as well in 2013 as it did in 1992? Also, Bruce was around 33 when he made that. Now he’s 54. Is this going to even work? I don’t know the answers to these questions and I can’t even begin to think about them because I have the biggest nerd boner right now.
