Scott Pilgrim VS The World was a polarizing movie, but I enjoyed it. It had its unique Edgar Wright style that you don’t see in many other films. Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz I didn’t enjoy as much as Scott Pilgrim but they were still solid movies.
Point being, Wright’s new film, The World’s End, just got a trailer and it looks like the Edgar Wright style that everybody loves is back.
Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, Eddie Marsan and Rosamund Pike, who last appeared in Jack Reacharound, all star in this movie about “five friends who reunite in an attempt to top their epic pub crawl from 20 years earlier and unwittingly become humankind’s only hope for survival.”
It’s a plot familiar with anyone who’s done a pub crawl. As you know, there are varying degrees of danger the world is in depending on level of drunkeness. 4 beers equals low level danger while 12 beers equals “holy crap, what evil villain has reversed every street and made it so that I’m now in Mexico watching a donkey show.”
