Ben Affleck is sick of getting asked about Batman. Maybe he shouldn’t have signed up to play and direct Batman?
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight Canada
“Oh my God, it’s such a pain in the ass,” said Affleck. “It’s, like, every time I mention Batman it gets this huge click bait. And when I was doing this movie [“Live by Night”], it took me two years to get it together, but no one ever asked me “Where is ‘Live by Night’.”
“They ask me, ‘Batman, Batman, Batman.’ ‘Batman’ is coming along. It’s going to be great. We’re going to make something really special. We’re going to take the time to make it right. We’re going to do it good. We’re going to do it the right way and the fans are going to love it.”
We feel for you, @BenAffleck– and that sounds absolutely perfect. Take all the time in the world you need to get the #Batman movie right! pic.twitter.com/2X33gEDi64

He continued to bitch about directing Batman to Jimmy Kimmel:
“I’m gonna direct the next ‘Batman.’ We’re workin’ on it. It’s one of those things that’s really frustrating because, like with ‘Live by Night,’ it took me a year and a half to write it and get it ready and I worked really hard. It’s just nobody gave a sh–. No one was like ‘Where’s ‘Live by Night!’? But with ‘Batman,’ I keep getting the, like, ‘Where’s the fu–ing Batman?!’ and I’m, like, ‘Bro, I’m workin’, give me a second!”
Just think, Ben, if you weren’t playing Batman, you wouldn’t even be doing these interviews because no one cares about your shitty mob movie. So, in a weird way, playing Batman has brought attention to Night Lives. Be thankful.
