James Franco’s ‘The Disaster Artist’ Trailer is Here

Tommy Wiseau might have tried tearing us apart, but James Franco is asking the hardball questions. Who is Tommy Wiseau? No really, who the hell is Tommy Wiseau and why is he the way that he is?

The Disaster Artist is a movie based on a book based on a movie. Specifically, it’s the adaptation of The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, the Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made by Greg Sestro and Tom Bissell. It’s the story of The Room, which is an amazing thing. I guess you could call it a movie.

It’s a perfect project for James Franco, Seth Rogen and their buddies. Instead of threatening to plunge the world into war with a so-so comedy, this looks like it’s right in their wheelhouse. The tone looks… tragicomic? The trailer shows one scene and it tells the entire story of the movie (their movie, the one about the other movie).

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you might even learn something.  Now let’s say it all together:
