Simone Biles is a 5-time Olympic medalist, 14-time world champion and the first gymnast to attempt and land a double-twisting, double somersault dismount off the balance beam. Her brother, Tevin Biles-Thomas, killed three people in a shooting on December 31, 2018. As you can see, the disparity in their achievements isn’t THAT big.
The shooting began when uninvited guests walked into an Airbnb house party and started to fight which led to a shooting which lead to the deaths. Biles-Thomas was identified as the shooter. He’s now being held at the Liberty County Jail without bond.
You can probably imagine how awkward family dinners are going to be in the future. You know how parents like to brag about their kids? Anytime Simone’s mom mentions how their kid won 5 Olympic medals, some other aunt is going to mutter under their breath that at least their kid didn’t kill three people.
