I would love to know what KJ Apa is doing in his private life that he is getting big chunks of metal stuck in his eyes. Is he just wandering around steel mills without eye protection between takes on Riverdale?
I ask this because the Australian star pulled a big-ass hunk of metal out of his eye.
I mean, it’s small but for something stuck in your eyeball that’s huge.
It’s hard to see in the video but it left a hole in Apa’s eye big enough that he could see it in the mirror and he started sobbing because of it. I felt really bad there, I really wanted to give the guy a hug.
Page Six reports that Apa gave an update on his Instagram story.
“Quick update, the eye is good. I’m seeing a doctor tomorrow, my appointment’s at 8 o’clock,” he said. “I just want to say thanks for all the support. I appreciate it a lot. My eye’s fine, but there could be some more metal shards in there rusting away in my eyeball, so, I just wanted to say a quick thank you.”
Apa said he has to go to work in the video, referring to the film Songbird he’s filming while Riverdale production is shut down between seasons. It’s directed by Michael Bay so maybe the metal in his eye is the result of a CGI explosion gone wrong.
