Elizabeth Homes Doesn’t Want that 11 Year Sentence

Elizabeth Holmes, the infamous founder of Theranos, is back in the news, and it’s not for anything good. It seems that she’s had two kids in a desperate attempt to avoid jail time. I mean, talk about a low blow. This woman deceived investors out of millions of dollars and put people’s lives at risk, and now she’s trying to use her family as a way to avoid the consequences of her actions? It’s like she’s playing a game of “How Low Can You Go?”

But what’s really interesting is this recent profile of Holmes by Amy Chozick in the New York Times. Chozick suggests that she was charmed by Holmes, who she describes as a devoted family woman. Are you kidding me? This woman is a criminal, plain and simple. She knowingly lied to investors and patients, and she deserves to be held accountable for her actions.

Chozick writes that Holmes is “gentle and charismatic,” and “didn’t seem like a hero or a villain. She seemed, like most people, somewhere in between.” What a load of crap. This woman is a master manipulator who’s willing to do whatever it takes to avoid jail time.

And let’s not forget about her appeals to delay her 11-year prison sentence. It’s like she’s trying to set a new record for the most appeals filed by a single criminal. I mean, at this point, she’s just delaying the inevitable.

So yeah, Elizabeth Holmes. A deceiver, a liar, and a coward. Don’t let her family photos or appeals fool you. She deserves to be behind bars, and she deserves to be the punchline of every criminal joke for years to come.
