You aren’t hip or cool anymore if you use the word “bling” says Kanye West. According to the singer,
“Only white people and older black people say ‘bling’ now. If a white person uses slang too early, then that makes them look like a wigger. But if black people use slang too late, then it makes them look like a wigger.”
I like to go up to all the cool black people and incorporate the word “bling” at least twice into a sentence. I emphasize “bling” really hard to let them know I’m “down”. Sometimes a little wink and nod helps. Apparently, this won’t work anymore. Wearing my hat to the side still does though, right? What say you Kanye.
