Brittany Murphy died this morning after going into full cardiac arrest. At around 8:00 AM, a 911 call was made from her house. Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai and was pronounced dead on arrival at 10:04 AM. TMZ writes,
Sources tell TMZ Brittany Murphy’s mom discovered her unconscious in the shower. We’re told when paramedics arrived, they quickly determined Murphy was in full cardiac arrest and immediately administered CPR. They continued CPR in route to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center — several miles away — and Murphy was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
We’re told the LA County Coroner’s is picking up Murphy’s body from Cedars later today and will launch a death investigation.
Murphy hadn’t been the picture of sanity the past few months. Back in October, police were called to her home after she started yelling about gunfire from her balcony.
Consequently, people will probably suspect drugs were involved in her death, but I think that’s just hearsay. Normal, healthy 32-year-olds die of full cardiac arrest in the shower ALL the time. It could be anything. Cocaine for example. Wait, cocaine isn’t a drug, right?
